Research Microwave Systems (RMS) was created to meet the demand for low cost microwave furnaces and accessories. RMS microwave processing equipment is economically viable and widely available to universities, researchers, national labs, and industry both in the US and abroad.

Our mission is to revolutionize the Materials Science industry by providing low cost, portable microwave research units and a one stop shop for heat treating accessories. Our goal is to enable customers to increase the value of their products, processes and laboratory research by using microwave processes.

The ThermWave™ was developed by Eugene Lunghofer and Dr. Larry Wolfe of EPL Ceramics LLC, through a New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) funding. The ThermWave™ is available commercially through RMS. RMS is headquartered in Troy, NY USA and has distributors in Korea and Portugal.
